Pork Chops

1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp chili powder
1 1/2 tsp basil
oil
and of course...Pork Chops

combine 1/4cup brown sugar with 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/2 tsp. chili powder and 1-1/2 tsp. basil. Stir in 1 tbsp. oil. Rub on chops. Fry in oil as you normally would. And serve with apple sauce!!

Coconut Cake

1 yellow or white cake mix
1 can coconut milk
1 can sweetened condensed milk
Whipping Cream
Toasted coconut

-Bake cake as directed
-Mix coconut milk and sweetened condensed milk, warm up
-pour milk mixture over warm cake
-refrigerate
-top with whipping cream and toasted coconut

Applebee's Fiesta Lime Chicken

1 cup water
1/3 cup teriyaki sauce
1/2 lime, juiced
3 cloves garlic - minced
1 teaspoon liquid smoke
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1 pound boned, skinned chicken breasts
1/4 cup real mayonnaise - low fat okay
1/4 cup sour cream - low fat okay
2 tablespoons Spicy, Chunky Salsa
1 tablespoon Milk - low fat okay
1 teaspoon cajun blackening spice
1/4 teaspoon dried parsley
1/4 teaspoon hot sauce ( I make without this)
1/8 teaspoon dried dill weed
1/8 teaspoon cumin
1 cup shredded colby jack cheese
2 cups corn chips - crumbled

-Whisk together the first 8 ingredients, coat chicken in mixture, and marinade for at least 2 hours.
-Whisk together the next 9 ingredients, cover, and chill until needed.
-Grill the marinated chicken breasts for 3-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through. Discard marinade.
-Brush grilled chicken with reserved dressing, sprinkle with cheese, and broil until cheese has melted.
-Serve the chicken over crumbled chips.

Angel Biscuits

1 pkg Dry Yeast
1/4 c. warm water
2-1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/8 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 tsp sugar

-Dissolve yeast in warm water and 1/2 tsp sugar
-mix dry ingredients
-stir in buttermilk with yeast mixture
-Blend thoroughly-refrigerate, or make into biscuits after 15 minutes of rising
-Turn dough onto floured board and knead lightly
-roll out and cut
-place in greased pan and let rise slightly
-Cook at 400 until lightly browned
